The New Warmth // Five Interior Trends Defining Autumn 2026

This autumn, the home trades restraint for richness. Aati charts the five moods shaping the season.
For years, the well-dressed home spoke in whispers: pale walls, clean lines, nothing out of place. Autumn 2026 has other ideas.
The shift begins with colour. Aubergine, tobacco, deep olive and burnt terracotta are stepping in where cool neutrals once ruled, and they wrap a room in a way beige never could. Texture follows close behind. Mohair meets walnut, veined marble sits against metal, and the most covetable rooms look as though they were gathered over a lifetime, not ordered in an afternoon.
There is glamour too, though it has loosened its collar. Art Deco returns in sculptural curves and glints of polished metal, softened by upholstery made for sinking into. Pattern, meanwhile, has found its nerve. The animal prints and bold motifs of Dolce & Gabbana Casa and Roberto Cavalli Home now sit at the centre of the room, not the edges.

Even the sofa is restless. Modular pieces from Minotti and Rugiano drift apart for a party and come back together for a quiet Sunday.
After nearly 45 years of shaping how the UAE lives, Aati reads the mood clearly: the home is personal again.
