Friday Nights Just Got Brighter: Above Eleven Launches IRO Night Brunch

Weekend plans, sorted. Above Eleven, the Palm West Beach rooftop known for its Nikkei cuisine and lively atmosphere, has launched its first-ever Friday night brunch, Above Eleven Presents IRO.

IRO means “colour” in Japanese, and the brunch will unfold in chapters, each inspired by a different colour and the landscapes, ingredients and mood it represents. The first chapter, The Orange Journey, celebrates fire, citrus, the Peruvian coast and the orange glow of sunset over the rooftop. Green and Blue journeys will follow, inspired by the Andes and the sea.

The night starts with a Pisco cocktail on arrival and a photo with Gloria, Above Eleven’s famous llama. Then it’s on to a generous Japanese-Peruvian sharing menu. Expect a Chef’s Platter of Chirashi Ceviche, Hotate Gunkan, nigiri and maki, followed by Habla Causa and a Tempura Salad. Mains include Grilled Red Snapper, Grilled Wagyu Tenderloin with aji panca sauce, and Roasted Pumpkin with miso glaze, before a Chef’s dessert platter to finish.

The cocktail list keeps the colour story going, with drinks such as the Naranja Sour, the jasmine-gin Kyoto Bloom and the lychee-led Blossom No.11.

There’s plenty of entertainment, too, with dancers, a live DJ and a percussionist. Competitive types can take on the Pisco Race, shaking, pouring and drinking their own Pisco Sour against fellow guests. At 10.30pm, the whole venue comes together for the IRO Ritual group shot before the AFTER 11 Rooftop Party carries on until 1am.

All of this happens 14 floors up, with sweeping views across Dubai Marina, Dubai Harbour, Palm Jumeirah and the Burj Al Arab.

The rolling ball never gives players much time to relax. Quick adjustments and good spatial awareness are essential for navigating the course safely in slope
