Vietnamese Foodies Pioneers Sustainability in Dubai’s Dining Scene with 100% Electric Kitchen

Vietnamese Foodies has taken a bold and industry-leading step toward sustainable dining with the opening of its newest and largest location in Arabian Ranches 3 which is home to the brand’s first fully electric kitchen.

A first for the brand, and a rare move in the Asian restaurant sector, this initiative reinforces founder and CEO Lily Hoa Nguyen’s commitment to long-term environmental responsibility and innovation in food service.

While the award-winning brand has previously incorporated select electric appliances into its kitchens, this is the first time a Vietnamese Foodies location has operated with 100% electric equipment. The shift is particularly significant in Asian cooking, where gas-powered woks and high-heat methods are often the standard. Transitioning to electric required months of research, testing, and fine-tuning to ensure that the quality, flavour, and speed of execution remained uncompromised. By eliminating the use of gas, the new kitchen significantly reduces carbon emissions and improves overall energy efficiency. Electric cooking not only results in a cleaner, safer kitchen environment but also supports Dubai’s broader sustainability goals by minimising reliance on fossil fuels. This step forward reflects Vietnamese Foodies’ broader vision to lead with purpose and innovate responsibly within the F&B industry.

“At Vietnamese Foodies, we’ve always believed that good food can and should do good,” says Lily Hoa Nguyen. “Going fully electric is a reflection of that belief, it reduces our environmental impact while still allowing us to serve the flavourful, comforting dishes our guests love. If anything, we’ve found that the precision and control of electric cooking has enhanced our process.”

Located in the heart of the newly developed Arabian Ranches 3 community, the 156-seat venue features both indoor and outdoor seating and an open kitchen, inviting guests to watch the chefs in action as meals are freshly prepared. The restaurant serves beloved favourites such as their 14-hour bone broth pho,  and new slow-cooked beef with dates, as well as a variety of healthy, dietary-friendly options.

Vietnamese Foodies continues to redefine casual dining in the UAE by blending flavour, health, and sustainability in an inclusive, family-friendly environment. With the launch of its all-electric kitchen at the new Arabian Ranches 3 location, the brand is helping to set a new standard for what’s possible in the region’s F&B landscape. A notable feature of this branch is its open kitchen, offering guests and their families the opportunity to observe the chefs at work, adding an engaging and transparent dimension to the dining experience.
