Other Women's Jobs // A Day In The Life & Career Of Natalia Krutova

NAME: Natalia Krutova

AGE: 33

INSTAGRAM HANDLE: Nathalie.krutova

JOB TITLE: Marketing & Communications Manager

MOVED TO THE UAE IN: 2018

Natalia has been in the F&B industry for 13 years. 3 years ago she shifted into a marketing role and honestly, she describes it as the best decision for her. She found a job that excites her, from creating and telling stories, to making content that people want to look at, share and remember.

Today Natalia looks after marketing at Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah. She works as Marketing Manager and handles everything from festive campaigns and brunch launches, to influencer events and big activations like Negroni Week (coming soon!). Her role is a mix of design, content creation and strategy - and she loves that it never stops.

Curiosity drives Natalia. She is always looking for new ideas - from global campaigns to random Pinterest boards. She lives on visuals, design and storytelling - and thats what keeps her inspired.

Today Natalia shares a day in her life and career with us:

8AM:

Hello new day… and I am on the way to work, visualising ideas for designs and storytelling. I am scrolling Instagram and Pinterest, catching trends and getting inspired by global campaigns.

8:30AM

My daily long call with Mom

10AM:

Having my 2nd coffee and I sit with my team for a quick catch-up. We run through what is happening that day - campaigns, photoshoots, influencer visits, events. This is when I set priorities and make sure we are aligned.

12pm:

This is usually my most creative time. Headphones on, full focus, and I am either designing or building out a marketing plan for a new campaign. It could be festive brochures, event flyers, social visual sor mapping the whole story of an upcoming activation. Creating something new is my favourite part of the day…

2PM:

Most likely I am with a content creator somewhere around the hotel. There is usually a photoshoot or video shoot happening and I will be there helping to guide the shots, adjusting details and enjoying the process.

4PM:

My least creative hour - so I use it for numbers. Tracking campaign ROI, checking social and EDMs insights then closing off emails. It is also when I map out priorities for tomorrow, so I can start the next day fresh.

6PM:

On the way back home, I often squeeze in some AI training or self-learning and then it is dinner time with my husband.

8PM:

It is yoga time. something I discovered and loved after my recent trip to Bali and then I have walk around Marina with friends or family on call.

10PM:

Before bed, I usually read a book and recently I started What Is Your Dream? by Simon Squibb - he is been inspiring me a lot lately. After that, I scroll socials a bit, sharing ideas with our content creator and graphic designer before finally switching off.
