NAME: Joti Dhillon
AGE: 41
INSTAGRAM HANDLE: @myartpix_ @joti_myartpix
JOB TITLE: CEO & Founder
MOVED TO THE UAE IN: 2020
Joti Dhillon is the founder of My Art Pix, a Dubai-based business that transforms children’s artwork, schoolwork, certificates, travel photos, birthday memories, and keepsakes into beautifully designed, high-quality coffee table books.
As a mum of two with a background in the pharmaceutical industry, Joti saw a clear gap in the GCC market, especially for busy expat and local families looking for a convenient way to preserve their memories without the mess, stress, or clutter.
The USP? They do everything for you, no AI, no DIY. From collection and professional photography to design, printing, and doorstep delivery, they take care of it all. Joti created My Art Pix out of a real need to protect what’s sentimental, while clearing both physical and digital clutter.
My Art Pix offers a truly hassle-free service, turning everyday moments into lasting legacies.
Today Joti shares with us a day in her life and business:
7:00 AM
School drop-off for my girls, followed by a quick workout and getting ready for
the day.
9:00 AM
My workday begins. My Art Pix is very operations-heavy, so I spend my mornings in spreadsheets managing the full customer journey, tracking orders, scheduling collections, overseeing photography, design, printing, and delivery. I also attend networking events, meetings, and brand collaborations throughout the day (and sometimes in the evenings too).
12:00 PM
Dedicated time for business development. I focus on growing the B2B side of the business, pitching to schools, nurseries, corporate clients, and exploring meaningful partnerships.
2:00 PM
I check in with our design and editing team to review book layouts, approve final proofs, and handle any customer queries that come up during production.
3:00 PM
School pick-up and a quick switch back into mum mode.
4:00 PM
Back at my desk to handle admin, emails, content planning, and preparing marketing materials. Some afternoons also include follow-up meetings or catching up with collaborators.
6:00 PM
Family time. Dinner with the girls, followed by showers, stories, and winding down together before bed.
8:00 PM
Once the girls are asleep, I usually dive back into work, finishing tasks, reviewing projects, or prepping for the next day. Sometimes it’s “me time” with a Netflix break, or dinner out with friends or a networking event.
10:00 PM
Ideal bedtime… or I keep working, depending on how the day went!
