Other Women's Jobs // A Day In The Life And Career Of Sahar Zarringhalam

NAME: Sahar Zarringhalam

AGE: 28

INSTAGRAM HANDLE: @sahar_themama @blaura.ae

JOB TITLE: Founder of Blaura

MOVED TO THE UAE IN: 2011

Sahar is a mum of two and the founder of Blaura, a wellness sanctuary for women and children, which is opening at the end of 2025. As a certified personal trainer and a pre- and postnatal exercise specialist, Sahar has always been passionate about women’s wellness. That passion has led her to continuously educate herself and explore new wellness methods to better understand her body and how to feel and look her best at every stage of life.

For Sahar, motherhood was a turning point. It made her realize how often women, especially mothers, neglect their own selfcare. After becoming a mother, she came to understand the importance of selfcare and how often it’s neglected. It became clear to her that there was a gap, a lack of safe, supportive spaces where women, especially mothers, could reconnect with themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally. Blaura was created to fill that gap. It’s a space designed to empower women and provide the care and tools to support them through every stage of life, from puberty to menopause.

Sahar envisioned Blaura as a sanctuary, a place where women can come as they are, be heard, and receive holistic care. At the same time, Blaura is also a space for children to learn, grow, and thrive through play and activities because raising healthy children starts with empowered, well-supported mothers. Blaura is about nurturing both, creating a holistic, healing environment where women and children can grow side by side.

Outside of work, she loves traveling a few times a year to recharge and explore new cultures although that’s been more limited recently with the launch of Blaura. Sahar aims to take a trip every six months and her last one was to Mauritius. Traveling has always been a way for her to refresh her perspective and connect with the world. She has always been fascinated by learning about culture through food, language, and local traditions. Sahar speaks Persian, French, and English fluently, and she can get by in Arabic, Lithuanian, and Spanish. She moved to Dubai in 2011 and has loved calling it home ever since.

Let's discover a day in the life and world of Sahar:

6AM:

I start off my mornings by spending quality time with my kids, it’s genuinely my favorite part of the day. We chat and laugh while they have their breakfast before I get them ready for school. It’s a sweet moment of connection before the rush begins. Some mornings are more chaotic than others, but it’s always the best way to start the day.

7:30AM:

I head to the gym, this is my non-negotiable. I like to do a two hour session. Its my time to reset both physically and mentally before the day begins. I usually go with my best friend and Blaura’s co-founder, Melina. We focus on a mix of stretching, cardio, and strength training. It helps me release stress, clear my mind, and feel fully energized for the day ahead.

Alongside Blaura, I have also started my own WhatsApp community: The Blaura Connect group. I make a point to check in with the group each morning and share updates about my day. We have created a lovely routine where members send a morning workout photo to encourage everyone to take a little time for themselves, even if it’s just 10 minutes to pause and self reflect. It’s a small but powerful way to build connection and support among like-minded women. Seeing women from all walks of life come together in this simple act of selfcare has been deeply inspiring, and it reminds me daily of the importance of community in wellness.

10:30AM:

After getting myself ready, I head to the office. Once I’m at my desk, I go through emails and prep for the day ahead. I review my schedule, check who I’ll bemeeting with, and make notes on what needs to be discussed. It’s my chance to get organized, set priorities, and mentally prepare for a productive day

.

11AM:

I quickly have my breakfast, it’s usually something simple but nourishing to keep me going. My meetings typically start around 11AM and run back-to-back until 4PM. Whether we are discussing upcoming events, construction updates, or creative direction, this is usually the most intense part of my workday. It’s when key decisions are made and ideas really come to life. I try to stay focused and present throughout, making the most of that momentum. In-between meetings I make sure to stay hydrated and have a green juice while snacking on fruits to keep me going.

4PM:

I’m usually juggling between work and home at this time. I shift back into mom mode and try my best to take my kids to their extracurricular activities. My daughter is 4 and my son is 2, and they both love being active and trying new things. From piano and swimming to ballet, yoga, and messy play, I try to expose them to a variety of experiences. They genuinely enjoy it, and I love watching them explore and grow. If I don’t manage to join them due to work, I try my best to connect with them throughout. This part of the day is really special to me because I can be fully present, hear about their day, and just enjoy their explorative journey.

6:30PM:

I feed the kids dinner and begin our evening routine. Once they have eaten, it’s time for baths, brushing teeth, and getting into pajamas. We end the day with storytime, a nightly ritual that I always try to make space for, no matter how long the day has been. It’s a calm way to wrap up their day and help them settle in for the night.

8PM:

Once the kids are asleep, I finally get a quiet moment to sit down and have dinner with my husband. We usually eat in bed and unwind with a good TV show. Some of my favorites are Bridgerton and Gilmore Girls, depending on the mood. This time is sacred for us: a chance to catch up, laugh, and reconnect after the day’s chaos. I’m not usually asleep until around midnight, but a little screen time and snacks in bed feel like the ultimate luxury after a long day.(Note – times can be adjusted accordingly if needed.
