Other Women's Jobs // A Day In The Life & Career Of Charlotte Bernin

NAME: Charlotte Bernin

JOB TITLE: CEO of the Europe-Middle East-Africa (EMEA) markets at Club Med

Charlotte Bernin joined Club Med in 2009. After holding key roles in pricing and revenue management, she contributed to the structuring and growth of the distribution network in France. In 2019, she became Director of Marketing & Sales for the Exclusive Collection portfolio, where she helped develop it as a strategic segment for acquiring new clients. From 2020, she was appointed Director of the France Market, and in 2024 her responsibilities were expanded to include Northern Europe Markets, where she led an ambitious omnichannel transformation and sustained growth in a challenging environment.

Charlotte has now been appointed to lead the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) markets. Together with the EMEA teams, she will be responsible for transforming the company’s new strategic plan, Forever Young, into concrete drivers of performance, efficiency and growth, to support the ambition of doubling the company’s presence across these regions. This appointment fully reflects Club Med’s commitment to promoting talent from within.

What drives her at Club Med is our people: the energy, the team spirit, and the drive to help everyone grow. Creating meaningful moments for our guests is what fuels us every day. Our values aren’t just words on paper; they’re lived, shared, and they’re what make Club Med truly unique.

She is also energized by what’s ahead: new projects, bold ambitions within the Forever Young strategic company plan, and the transformations we’re shaping. Every challenge is a chance to move faster, aim higher, and create real impact.

She lives by a simple yet powerful proverb: “Alone we go faster, together we go further.” In this role, success is never a solo journey, it’s built through unity and collective drive.

It means aligning behind a clear vision, giving purpose, involving our teams in key decisions, and collaborating at every step. Because real achievement doesn’t happen alone; it’s always the result of a strong, committed team.

Beyond work, her greatest source of strength comes from her family and her friends. They remind her of what truly matters and bring balance, joy, and perspective to her life. Finding harmony between her professional ambitions and her personal world isn’t just important. It’s what keeps her grounded, inspired, and deeply energized every day.

Today Charlotte shares with us a typical day in her career and life:

8AM: My day usually starts at 8:00 a.m., when I drop my children off at school, an important moment that helps me start the day grounded before switching into work mode.

9AM: By 9:00 a.m., I’m in the office reviewing priorities: going through emails, addressing urgent matters, and connecting with my teams. I also value informal coffee breaks during this time; they are often the best way to stay close to what’s happening on the ground and exchange ideas with colleagues.

10AM: The day shifts into a series of strategic meetings. These can include discussions with the strategic committee about the development of new resorts, business performance reviews, or conversations around upcoming marketing campaigns and brand initiatives.

12PM: I usually take a quick lunch break, often a short one, but it’s a welcome pause in a busy schedule.

2PM: It’s typically the moment dedicated to deeper business reviews across our EMEA markets, including performance updates and insights from guest feedback, which are always essential to guiding our decisions.

4PM: I spend time in team meetings, both collective sessions and one-to-one discussions, often with members of the executive committee. These moments are key to align our vision and support our teams.

Between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m., I usually leave the office to spend meaningful, quality time with my children. Maintaining that balance is very important to me.

Later in the evening, my schedule sometimes continues with client events or networking opportunities, which are always great occasions to connect with partners and guests in a more informal setting.
