New Season at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab // What’s New at Umi Kei, Mirabelle and Madame Li

Cooler evenings in Dubai mean one thing for food lovers: terrace season is back. At Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, the new season brings a fresh chapter across its restaurants, from authentic Kobe beef and sake tastings to longer opening hours and waterfront dining.
Umi Kei
The resort’s Japanese izakaya has the most to talk about this season. New head chef Koichiro Kawakami brings more than 25 years of international experience, including a decade with Nobu. Umi Kei has also secured an official Kobe Beef licence, making it one of a select few restaurants in the UAE authorised to serve the real thing.
Sake fans should book the Sake Discovery Experience. This guided tasting explores how rice polishing changes a sake’s aroma and flavour, moving from delicate, floral styles to a creamy nigori with notes of coconut and vanilla. Later in the evening, the Late-Night Ramen Club returns. Its bowls are made with natural ingredients and a zero-waste approach, and include clam and lemon, wagyu beef and chilled spicy ramen.
Mirabelle and Madame Li
Both restaurants are now open daily from 1pm to 11.30pm, so a long lunch can easily roll into dinner. Mirabelle channels the Côte d’Azur with oysters, seafood towers and whole fish cooked to order. Its waterfront terrace is back too. At Madame Li, the dining room is styled as a private mansion, where tables fill with East Asian favourites, dim sum from the open kitchen and Peking duck carved at the table.
Alfresco is back
All the resort’s terraces have reopened, making the most of views across the Arabian Gulf, the marina and the Dubai skyline. Whether it’s a long lunch, sunset drinks or dinner by the water, the setting is a big part of the experience.
