HANU, a new wave of contemporary Korean dining destination at St. Regis Gardens, Palm Jumeirah, announces a two-night collaboration with Chef Sung Si-woo of Seoul’s LÉGUME — South Korea’s only Michelin-starred plant-based restaurant.
On the 21st and 22nd of May, guests are invited to discover a 12-course Omasake experience where two philosophies of Korean cuisine meet: one defined by modern interpretations of tradition, the other by nature, seasonality and quiet refinement.
Since its opening, HANU has reimagined Korean dining in Dubai under the vision of Chef Kyung Soo Moon. Rooted in tradition and executed with modern refinement, HANU celebrates Korea’s culinary heritage through storytelling and craftsmanship, anchored by its signature Korean charcoal grills.
“While HANU showcases refined interpretations of Korean tradition, this collaboration offers its counterpart — a plant-based expression that is equally deep, elegant, and rooted in culture,” says Chef Moon.
The menu also features HANU’s signature creations, including Soy Marinated Sweet Prawn and Zucchi, Mushroom Galbi, White Asparagus Kimchi, Crispy Foie Gras; Beef Jang Jolim, Caviar, Soft Quail Egg and Yuzu Radish; and Chilean Seabass Marinated in a trio of Korean Jangs — Chilli, Soybean and Soy. The final notes include a Pine Nut Mousse with Mandarin Cream and Praliné, Yuzu Sorbet and a composition of Peanut Chocolate, Yuja, Candy, Omija Dasik, Crispy Cow with Black Sesame.
The experience is priced at AED 690 per person and will take place across two nightly seatings at 6 PM and 9 PM. The HANU x LÉGUME Four-hands Omasake experience will be available by reservation only on May 21st and 22nd, with limited seatings each evening. The dinner is limited to just 10 seats per night and will be hosted at the Omasake counter by Chef Moon and Chef Sung Si-woo.
