Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), one of Dubai’s most pet-friendly neighbourhoods, is inviting dog owners who live or work in the area to nominate their pets for the title of JLT’s first-ever Chief Dog Officer (CDO).
The Chief Dog Officer will serve as the neighbourhood’s official dog ambassador, celebrating JLT’s active pet community and encouraging friendly, responsible interactions across shared spaces.
Responsibilities of the Chief Dog Officer:
Welcome new dogs and pet parents to the neighbourhood
Encourage friendly and respectful behaviour in shared spaces, including the dog park
Highlight JLT’s pet-friendly cafés, walking routes, and outdoor community spots on social media
Participate in neighbourhood gatherings and pet-friendly events
Promote clean, considerate and responsible use of common areas
Support and engage with local pet businesses across the community
The winning pup will receive:
One-year Gold Membership at Noble Veterinary Clinics, JLT
AED 500 voucher from Pawsome Friends
AED 200 voucher from Splendour Fields
Freshly prepared meats and treats from Furchild Pet Nutrition
The title of “JLT’s Chief Dog Officer” for one year
How to Enter
Dog owners can submit a photo of their pup along with a short note explaining why they deserve the title at: jlt.ae/whats-on/dog-ambassador.
Entries are open until November 30. The final selection will be determined through a combination of public voting and review with community partners.
The JLT Dog Park offers a dedicated, fenced space for dogs to play and socialise, well-loved among long-time residents, and still a new discovery for many. After playtime, dog owners often continue their walk around the lakes and stop at pet-welcoming cafés such as Splendour Fields, Friends Avenue Café, 1762 JLT, Little Bangkok, and LDC Kitchen + Coffee, making outdoor time with their pets part of the daily routine.
