If your idea of a perfect weekend involves mountain air, starry skies and a complete break from city life, Hatta just got even more tempting. Caravan Hatta by Our Habitas has opened at Hatta Resorts. It’s the brand’s first home in the UAE, and an adventure-led luxury retreat overlooking the turquoise waters of Hatta Dam.

Our Habitas is the collective behind the much-talked-about desert sanctuary in AlUla. Its philosophy, “Luxury for the Soul”, puts presence ahead of pace, with plenty of shared experiences and time outdoors.

Where you’ll sleep

The retreat has 50 bespoke Airstream caravans, each with sweeping views over the valley or the lake. Inside, earthy shades of sand, terracotta and clay echo the mountains around you. Handcrafted furniture and bohemian textiles nod to Emirati nomadic traditions. Each caravan has a queen bed, a dinette, a bathroom and a private wooden deck. Amenities by homegrown brand Dastaangoi have been created exclusively for the property.

Eat and gather

Madar, which means “orbit” in Arabic, is the communal heart of the retreat. The chef-led restaurant was developed with Paris Society Consulting. It celebrates Emirati influences and local ingredients, cooked over open fire and underground. There are also live barbecue nights and relaxed poolside dining.

Slow down or get active

You can spend the day hiking, biking, kayaking or paddleboarding on Hatta Dam. Alternatively, you can stay put by the infinity pool, join a sound healing session or an Arabic coffee ritual, and finish the night stargazing from the Observatory Deck. Thuraya Wellness offers holistic treatments, a barrel sauna, cold plunge, hot tub, yoga and meditation.
