Times feel heavy right now, and being back indoors can bring up difficult memories for many of us.
Here are a few simple things you can do at home to calm your mind and cope as best you can in the moment.
// ORGANISE AND DE-CLUTTER
Clear your external space and your mind often follows. Start with your wardrobe: make three piles (keep, donate, bin) and be honest about what you actually wear. Put back only what you love and use, even 20 minutes can make everything feel lighter.
// HOME WORK OUTS
Movement is medicine. During this time, pick a 10 to 20 minute routine and just start. A little movement boosts your mood, clears your head, and helps release built up tension.
// MEDITATION MORNINGS
Starting your morning with meditation can set the tone for the rest of the day. Keep it simple with five minutes of breathing or a guided meditation. It’s a small reset that can make the whole day feel calmer.
// GET CREATIVE
Thinking rationally right now is tedious. We all have so many emotions and fears but what do we do with them? Do something with your hands, journalling, sketching, baking, or a DIY moment. Creating helps your brain switch off and brings you back to the present.
