Tashkeel Launches July Summer Camps for Youth

Building on the creative momentum of the summer, Tashkeel is hosting a new series of workshops this July that invite young talents to dive into the world of art and design. Taking place at Al Safa Art & Design Library, the program offers dynamic opportunities for young people to engage with different artistic practices.

This month’s schedule includes a full week for the youth (Summer Camp), to enjoy a variety of disciplines including pottery, digital illustration, painting, printmaking, and collage. Led by experienced UAE-based artists, the sessions are designed to inspire creativity, build new skills, and nurture individual expression in a welcoming studio setting.

Summer Camp (7 - 12 years): Once Upon a Stage: Theatre Art with Asad Hafeez

Step into the spotlight and let your imagination shine! In this lively workshop, children will explore theatre through storytelling, role-play, and performance. They'll invent characters, design simple costumes, and act out original scenes.

Glow Art: Light, Color, Wonder with Bassem Boules

July 14| 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Ages 4–6 | Al Safa Art & Design Library

Designed for young creatives, this playful session invites children to mix, layer, and create vibrant artworks that glow under blacklight. With bold colors and shimmering textures, it’s a fun, hands-on opportunity to explore,and experiment through art.

Clay Adventure: Animate Your Imagination with Michelle Yusuff

July 14| 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM| Ages 6-7 | Al Safa Art & Design Library

In this workshop, young artists will design characters and props in clay. bringing them to life through stop-motion animation. From sketching to filming, they’ll explore storytelling, visual design, and teamwork while turning simple materials into imaginative, moving stories.

 Pixel Art Fun: Shape, Stick, Create with Shiena Fenol

June 15 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Ages 4–6  |  Al Safa Art & Design LibraryYoung explorers will have the chance to navigate shapes, colors, and patterns. Using kid-friendly materials like stickers, foam, or paper squares, they’ll build their own pixel-style artworks.Book here

Organic Printmaking: Nature Art with Yanick Mua

July 16 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Ages 4–6   | Al Safa Art & Design LibraryChildren aged 4 to 6 will create colorful prints using leaves, flowers, fruits, and other natural textures. They’ll press, stamp, and paint to discover patterns and shapes in every print.Book here

The Art of Faux Cakes: Create and Decorate with Sheina Fenol

July 17 | 10:00 PM – 12:00 PM | Ages 4-6 | Al Safa Art & Design Library Designed for children aged 4 to 6, this workshop invites little ones to create imaginative pretend cakes using paint, fluffy textures, and playful decorations. As they design their sweet-inspired masterpieces, they'll explore color, shape, and texture in a hands-on environment.Book here
