Speedy Comics Brings a Slice of Japan to Times Square Center Dubai This August

A free, family-friendly weekend of anime, gaming and cosplay lands in Dubai on 1–2 August.

No flights, no jet lag, no packing - just two days of anime, gaming and cosplay right here in Dubai. Speedy Comics is bringing Celebrate Japan to Times Square Center on 1 and 2 August, a free-entry, family-friendly weekend built for anyone who loves manga, collectables or simply a good excuse to dress up.

Running 12pm to 10pm both days, the event turns the mall into a playground of Japanese-inspired creativity: interactive workshops, cultural demonstrations, live performances and stage moments sit alongside a marketplace stacked with artists, independent brands and hobby finds worth digging through. Trading card fans get their own dedicated zone for buying, selling and playing, with Learn-to-Play sessions for beginners and proper tournaments for seasoned collectors.

Kids aren't just spectators either. The BIZ KIDZ youth entrepreneur showcase hands the mic to young makers presenting their own products and business ideas, while costume competitions and dress-up moments keep the whole family entertained. Japanese street food vendors round out the weekend, because no event is complete without good snacks.
