JOB TITLE: Founder

MOVED TO THE UAE IN: 1999

Dalia Finj is the founder of luxury swimwear brand Cocoraille. Here she takes Raemona behind the scenes of what it takes to build a brand, what keeps her motivated and what a typical day looks like in her world.

I am a creative person with a deep eye for detail and an enduring obsession with luxury, craftsmanship, and beautiful things. I believe wholeheartedly that I, and all women, deserve the very best when it comes to swimwear: from design to fit to finish. This belief is what ultimately led me to create Cocoraille.

Cocoraille was born from a personal love for being in my swimsuits. I wanted to create swimwear that gives women the joy of turning heads, whether they are by the pool at midday or transitioning seamlessly into sunset, dinner, and evening moments. I wanted swimwear that lives beyond the beach. All summer long.

I did not come from a formal fashion design background, but that absence became my strength rather than my limitation. I approached Cocoraille as a woman first, a consumer first, and a perfectionist always. I obsessed over how a swimsuit should sit on the body, how it should hold, sculpt, flatter, widen, cinch, lengthen and move. I believe deeply that when a swimsuit is made right, it can be flattering on every body shape. Cocoraille is designed to celebrate the female form, not restrict it.

As Founder of a luxury swimwear brand, I sit at the intersection of creativity and business. I am deeply involved in every aspect of the brand from corporate strategy, operations, and order processing to creative direction, product design, and marketing. My role requires constant movement between structure and imagination, numbers and aesthetics, discipline and instinct.

Cocoraille is not just a brand I run; it is an extension of my values, my taste, and my belief that luxury should make women feel powerful in their own skin and finally my love for popular culture.

Living in the UAE since 1999 has also shaped my vision. This region understands and commands luxury, glamour, confidence, and bold femininity. It has influenced how I express beauty in design and how I wanted Cocoraille to feel: international, refined, and unapologetically confident.

Let's discover a typical day in Dalia's world

8:00 AM: 8am already feels like midday to me. I am a 5am wake-up kind of girl, and those early hours are sacred. I use this quiet time for myself – mentally preparing for the day, reflecting, planning and grounding before the pace accelerates. It’s when I feel most clear-headed and intentional. Even if the world hasn’t fully woken up yet, my mind is already moving through priorities and ideas for Cocoraille.

10:00 AM: By mid-morning, I am fully in work mode. This is when I start addressing high-level priorities and aligning my day. I review emails, ongoing conversations, and urgent matters across the business. As a founder, you wear many hats, and this time is crucial for setting direction – deciding what needs attention immediately and what can be strategically scheduled.

12:00 NOON: Lunch is usually taken at the office. I rarely disconnect fully at this time; it’s often a working lunch where I’m reviewing documents, discussing matters with my team, or responding to messages. Cocoraille is still a growing brand, and being hands-on is essential. These moments are less about slowing down and more about maintaining momentum while refueling.

2:00 PM: Early afternoon is dedicated to the corporate side of Cocoraille. This includes order processing, operational oversight, financial coordination, and ensuring that the business side of the brand is running smoothly. I am deeply involved in understanding where the business stands at all times. Sales, inventory, timelines and logistics. For me, creativity cannot exist without a strong operational backbone, and I take this responsibility seriously.

4:00 PM: I continue to focus on corporate matters, but with a shift toward coordination and communication. As Cocoraille operates across multiple regions, alignment is everything. I ensure that systems, processes, and people are working cohesively. This is also when I prepare to transition into different time zones, knowing that the second half of my day will be shaped by international collaboration.

6:00 PM: By late afternoon, my day naturally pivots toward the creative side of Cocoraille, while also tuning into the European time zone. This is when I connect with my marketing team. Discussing campaigns, content, brand positioning and storytelling. Marketing for me is not just promotion; it’s about conveying emotion, the fun side of a Cocoraille woman, and aspiration. Every visual, every word, every message must feel aligned with the Cocoraille woman.

At the same time, this period often includes design-focused work – reviewing concepts, refining details, and making decisions that affect how a piece will ultimately look and feel on the body. This is where my obsession with detail truly comes to life.

8:00 PM: As the evening progresses, I transition further into the South American time zone to connect with my atelier team. These conversations are some of the most important of my day. We discuss construction, fit, fabric behavior, and finishing. Every technical detail that ensures Cocoraille swimsuits deliver on their promise.

This is also when I begin wrapping up creative decisions and administrative tasks, while consciously making space for family time. Balance is not always perfect, but it is intentional. Cocoraille is deeply personal to me, but so is my family, and both require presence and care.

10:00 PM: By late evening, I slow the pace. This is when I reflect on the day. What worked, what needs adjustment, and what ideas surfaced that deserve attention tomorrow. Even when the laptop closes, my mind often continues to think creatively. Inspiration rarely follows a strict schedule, and I’ve learned to embrace that. Before resting, I reconnect with myself, knowing that another early morning and another day of building something meaningful awaits.

Being the founder of Cocoraille means living across time zones, disciplines, and mindsets in a single day. It requires resilience, creativity, structure, and intuition. But above all, it is driven by passion for beauty, for craftsmanship, and the believe that women must feel extraordinary in their own skin.
