Other Women's Jobs // A Day In The Life & Career Of Sola Saulenko

NAME: Sola Saulenko

JOB TITLE: CMO at Pixonic, MY.GAMES

AGE: 44

For Sola Saulenko, entertainment is a vital part of life – with two passions leading the way: games and music. She chose games as her profession not just out of love for the medium, but out of curiosity about the fast-growing business behind it. What started as a fascination with how the industry works soon became a lifelong career.

Sola has been part of the gaming world since 2003. Over the years, she has helped define how players experience and connect with games, leading creative campaigns that feel as alive as the worlds they promote. She believes games are as meaningful as films or songs – powerful forms of art that spark emotion, imagination, and community in ways few other mediums can.

Today we discover a typical day in Sola's world:

8:00 AM – Coffee & Routine

I need at least an hour to properly wake up – scroll through my phone, drink coffee, and ease into the day. If I’m not feeling lazy, I’ll do a quick workout just to get my body moving.

10:00 AM – Work Begins

First thing on the agenda: checking key project dashboards and tracking how things are performing.

12:00 PM – Calls & Spreadsheets

Meetings, reports, and usually some music in the background. Between tasks, I might listen to a podcast.

2:00 PM – Power Nap Time

If there’s even a 30-minute break in my schedule, I’ll always try to nap – even 15 minutes makes a huge difference.

4:00 PM – Lunch Break

That’s when I usually play something casual, scroll through Twitter (or X, whatever you call it), or catch up with friends and family in chats.

6:00 PM – Wrapping Up

If there’s nothing urgent, I like to go for a walk by the sea while finishing up calls – it’s the best way to clear my head after a long day.

8:00 PM – Unwind Mode

Anything goes: meeting friends, going for a walk or a dance class, playing something on PlayStation, doing reformer Pilates, or just lazying on the couch with a true crime show.  Even at this stage, I stay connected in work chats – a good idea or a sudden problem can appear at any moment.

10:00 PM – Reading Time

I always read before bed. And if the book is really good, I’ll happily switch to horizontal mode much earlier.
