NAME: Maysaa Fahour
AGE: 41
INSTAGRAM HANDLE: @coachmayseq
JOB TITLE: Conscious Parent Coach
MOVED TO THE UAE IN: 2012
Maysaa is a mother of 4 (ages 20, 17, 13, 7) and licensed parent coach who specialises in supporting parents and educators through the everyday challenges of raising and working with children. With a background in primary teaching and as a mother of four, she recognised a deep need to bridge the gap between caregivers, teachers, and children. At the heart of that gap was emotional intelligence.
Through her coaching practice, Maysaa combines evidence based insights with practical tools. She helps adults understand the science behind children's behaviour and teaches strategies that promote emotional regulation, secure relationships, and effective communication.
Maysaa offers in person and online parent workshops, school based seminars, and 1:1 coaching, empowering adults to raise emotionally intelligent and resilient children.
Let's discover a day in the Life and career of Maysaa:
No two days ever look exactly the same in my world. Life with four kids, a growing coaching business, and a prayer-centred schedule means I live somewhere between structured systems and beautiful mess. There’s strategy, there’s noise, there’s screen-time negotiation, and there’s a lot of heart.
Here’s what a (mostly honest) day in my life looks like:
5:00 AM
Fajr prayer. A sacred start to the day… assuming I haven’t snoozed it three times.
5:30 AM
Let’s be honest, I’m either stretching and setting intentions like a grounded goddess, or grumpy and whisper sighing about why it’s always so early. It really depends on how wild bedtime was the night before.
6:00 AM
Wake the kids, supervise the chaos, and try to have breakfast together. There’s usually a missing shoe, someone’s forgotten something, and I’m probably negotiating screen time before 7am. If we all sit down at the same time, it’s basically a miracle.
7:00 AM
School drop-offs, super lucky we live close to the school (this is a game changer!)
7:20 AM – 12:30 PM
And so my work day begins. Zoom sessions begin with parents from all over the world. I help them understand their child’s behaviour, regulate their own nervous system, and feel less alone in the hard parts. I use science, strategy, and a whole lot of real talk.
12:30 PM – 1:00 PM
Duhr prayer. My midday reset. Everything pauses here and I fiercely protect this pocket of peace.
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Final client calls, content planning, or catching up on admin. Sometimes I stare into space for five minutes and call it essential nervous system regulation.
2:00 PM (Mondays only)
I run my group coaching call: hands down, my highlight of the week. Parents from around the world gather for a powerful hour of learning, laughing, and real life breakthroughs.
2:40 PM
School pick ups. Everyone’s talking at once. There are crumbs, complaints, forgotten lunchboxes, and 47 different stories about what happened on the playground. This is where the second shift begins.
4:00 PM
Quick team call. We go over the content calendar, client updates, and business bits that keep everything ticking. From Instagram posts to parent resources, we do the juggle behind the scenes (with plenty of laughs).
5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
This is when things get wild. Dinner, homework, bath time, sports drop-offs, sibling negotiations, emotional meltdowns, and “Mum, can you…” on loop. If it’s Friday and the weather’s nice, we escape to the beach. Sand in the car? Worth it.
8:00 PM
Depending on the season, this is my sport hour. Netball or padel tennis- either way, it’s movement, fun, and a break from being needed every 3.5 seconds.
9:00 PM
Catch up with the older kids. Naturally, this is when they choose to open up about life, the universe, and everything in between. I’m tired, but I’m here for it.
10:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Ishaa prayer, some gratitude, and hopefully… sleep. Unless someone needs a costume, a late-night pep talk, or suddenly remembers a project due tomorrow.
Weekly rhythms that keep things semi-sane I do the main supermarket shop on Sundays and rely on Instashop like a loyal sidekick during the week. Dinners are usually prepped the night before — because future me deserves a little love too.
