Dove Intensive Repair Review // The New Haircare Range for Dry, Damaged Hair in the Middle East

Hair damage looks different on everyone. For some, it’s persistent dryness or dullness. For others, it’s split ends, brittleness or breakage. Whether your hair is coiled or straight, coloured or chemically treated, heat-styled every weekend or covered under a hijab, it has its own history and its own needs.
Living in the Gulf adds extra challenges. Extreme heat, intense sun, hard water and frequent blow-drying for social occasions all take their toll. Many women have simply accepted damaged hair as part of life here. Dove’s relaunched Intensive Repair range is designed to change that, without asking anyone to give up the styles they love.
The science
Hair is largely made of protein, and everyday styling, brushing and heat gradually deplete the amino acids that keep it strong. The range combines Dove’s patented Bio-Protein Care™ Technology with a concentrated amino acid complex, which the brand says helps replenish those lost building blocks from within.
The claims are impressive. According to Dove, every wash delivers one trillion protein “strength builders”. It also says the range reduces visible breakage and damage by up to 98 per cent compared with a non-conditioning shampoo, and leaves hair up to ten times stronger and twice as soft.
The range
The full regimen includes shampoos and conditioners, one-minute 10-in-1 Serum Masks, hair creams and Serum Oils. The brand says the oils give up to 72 hours of glass-like shine, which could be a game changer in humidity.
What stands out is the attitude behind it. Dove isn’t asking women to change their routines or conform to a single idea of “healthy hair”. Instead, it focuses on helping every hair type feel stronger and more resilient, whatever your texture or style.
