Choose You Today: Free Breast Screenings at Yas Bay Waterfront This Sunday

How often do we put everyone else first and our own health last? This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Pink Caravan is asking women to flip that, and its “Choose You Today” initiative is coming to Yas Bay Waterfront this Sunday to make it easier than ever.

On Sunday 18 October, from 10am to 4pm, Pink Caravan will set up at the Pier Outdoor Parking at Yas Bay Waterfront, Abu Dhabi. Visitors can meet healthcare professionals and get free clinical breast examinations, with selected mammograms also available, all in a relaxed, welcoming community setting.

The message behind this year’s theme is simple. Prioritising your health isn’t selfish. It’s one of the most important things you can do for yourself and the people who love you. Regular screenings and early detection make a real difference, and taking that first step is often the hardest part.

For more than a decade, Pink Caravan has led the conversation on breast cancer awareness across the UAE. It has encouraged thousands of women to get checked, talk openly about breast health and make regular check-ups part of their routine. Bringing screenings into everyday community spaces like Yas Bay removes some of the barriers, whether that’s time, cost or simply nerves.

There’s a little extra incentive to arrive early, too: the first 100 participants will receive exclusive Pink Caravan giveaways.

The event is open to everyone, so why not make a morning of it? Bring your mum, your sister or your best friend, get checked together, then enjoy a coffee or lunch along the waterfront’s three-kilometre boardwalk afterwards.

Whether you’re due a check-up, have been putting one off or simply want to show your support, this is your sign. Choose you, today.
