The Sparkle Gala Shines Once Again, Aiming to Raise AED 1.5 Million for Children in Malawi

The Sparkle Foundation, a UAE-registered charity providing aid to children in Malawi, proudly presents its fourth annual Sparkle Gala in Dubai on 22 November 2025, held at the iconic Ain Dubai.

The Sparkle Gala has become one of Dubai’s most impactful charity events for Africa, successfully uniting purpose-driven corporates, philanthropists, and families in a night of elegance, entertainment, and empowerment. Together, change-makers have proven that when communities unite real and lasting change happens.

Following the success of last year’s unforgettable evening, The Sparkle Gala is back for another year and promises to be brighter, bolder, and more meaningful than ever before. This year’s event marks a special milestone as The Sparkle Foundation celebrates its 10-year anniversary, a decade of transformative change for the children and communities in Malawi. The Sparkle Gala 2025 aims to raise AED 1.5 million to support the development of a fourth site in Malawi, the land for which was purchased from funds raised at the 2024 Gala, will serve 5000 children and community members, continuing its mission to create sustainable impact. The donations raised will directly contribute to building a community centre to support youth and women’s groups, equipped with solar-powered electricity and a private community borehole for access to clean water. The project will also include constructing walls for netball and football pitches, creating safe spaces for sports, recreation, and community development. Additionally, there are also plans to develop another education centre for children ages two to five years, nurturing early learning.

Looking back at last year’s Gala, it set new records and exceeded expectations. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, partners, more than 500 guests, and over 100 volunteers, The Sparkle Foundation raised over AED 1.5 million, paving the way for expansion and the acquisition of additional land in Malawi. This achievement represents more than just numbers, it reflects the real, life-changing impact that every donation has made possible. The Sparkle Foundation has been able to expand its reach, deepen its impact, and offer hope where it is needed most. Each dirham raised translated into opportunities for children to learn, women to lead, and families to thrive.

From January to September 2025, 350 children aged 2.5 to 14 years old received education, while 32 students successfully graduated from preschool to primary school and 19 completed primary school support programs. Additionally, 17,989 medical treatments were provided across 7,919 clinic visits ensuring healthcare access. Furthermore, 46,170 meals, including breakfast and lunch, were served across all its sites in Malawi.
