Running Clubs In Dubai

As the better weather approaches (bye bye Sweat-ember) there is no better way to clear your head than with a run.

But if you don’t fancy pounding the streets alone, here are some recommended clubs:

// ROAR Run Club

Founded by three times Olympian Sarah Lindsay and the UK’s leading body transformation expert Rich Phillipps, Roar Fitness is a personal training gym which can offer its clients a training experience like no other. BUT don’t be scared if you’re not the fittest person in the room, or even if you’ve never run before. The all-new ROAR Run Club is open to all abilities. The aim here is to simply run and walk together while keeping each other motivated. The next run club dates are 29 Sept, 13 Oct and 20 Oct.

Follow @roardubai on Instagram to find out more.

// FadeFit Run Club

Join the FadeFit gang for a refreshing morning run every Saturday, 7am, at Kite Beach. All ages and abilities are welcome so bring the family along and get the weekend off to an energising start. Sign up here.

// GymShark Run Club

If you’re an early bird, you’ll love the Gym Shark Run Club every Tuesday morning at 6am at Point Zero, Kite Beach. It’s completely free but you must sign up first via the link below. All abilities are welcome – it doesn’t matter how fast you run or how far you go, just put your trainers on, get out there and get moving. The run lasts for 30 minutes and there is a pacer at the front for anyone that wants a challenge and then middle and back pacers for people who just want fun/social vibes. Sign up here.

// Jumeirah Johns Running Club

Billed as Dubai’s most social run club, this welcoming community offers free weekly runs for all abilities, shapes and sizes. With runs throughout the week in different locations around the city, check out @jumeirahjohnsrunningclub on Instagram to check out the fun you could be having.

// Desert Road Runners

Founded in 1989, Desert Road Runners is possibly the oldest running club in Dubai. Offering weekly runs as well as other regular events, the club isn’t very active on social media but drop an email to keeprunning@desertroadrunners.com to find out more.

// ASICS FrontRunner

Organised by the well-know footwear brand, the FrontRunner club is open to runners of all abilities who are passionate about the sport. Find out more here.

// Dubai Creek Striders

This club offers regular runs at Dubai Creek and other locations, for runners of all abilities. It also organises 10km and half-marathon events every year. Check out the weekly schedule on the @dubaicreekstriders Instagram page to find a chapter near you.

Have another running club you’d like to add to the list. Email us and let us know.
