Raemona Reviews // The Rise Of Community Driven Wellness at KAILO

Most of you who are reading this are probably running on empty. We are all doing too much. Pushing ourselves to our limits. Moving at a pace which we were never built for. And somewhere along the way, wellness has become another item on our overwhelming to-do list.

But recently I’ve noticed a shift that I can get on board with. Wellness experiences which aren’t about performance or posing, but about connection and community.

In amongst longevity hacks, optimisation culture and productivity apps, quiet movements are popping up across the UAE that are focused on bringing people together and simply making you feel good.

Run clubs fuelled by thriving WhatsApp group chats, walks on the beach with a side of coffee and conversation, or soundbath and yoga nidra mornings where rest isn’t a reward – it’s the whole point.

Connection-driven experiences are here to stay, and the brands facilitating them are the ones that will last in an overcrowded wellness space.

One such brand is KAILO.

Last month, I was privileged to attend the launch of the Brisbane-born brand as it made its official arrival into the UAE.

In classic Dubai style, the event took place against the breathtaking backdrop of the Burj Al Arab at Achievher Studio in Umm Suqeim. But this felt different. There was no pressure to show up in a certain way. The energy was light and unforced.

We heard from Dr. Ozgur Dedehayir, KAILO’s Director of Innovation about the brand’s philosophy of holistic wellness while celebrating community and connection, before a beautiful and deeply restorative meditation and sound bath led by Alexandra Venison.

Rooted in a flagship medispa in Brisbane, KAILO combines aesthetic, holistic and functional wellness. The products are plant-based and vegan, using clean ingredients and premium blends to support the gut, skin, sleep and mind. In Dubai you’ll find them exclusively at Grandiose stores. The ‘Look Well’ Vanilla Chai protein powder has become a staple addition to smoothies in my house.

What I loved most about the launch wasn’t the setting – it was the message behind it: slow down, connect deeply and nourish yourself – from the inside out.

As Kristy Morris, Founder & CEO, says: “Wellness is about creating sustainable habits that fit into your life, empowering you to thrive on your own journey.

So, what does all of this mean for wellness in the UAE?

In the interest of being honest, I’ve been avoiding going to lots of wellness events recently as sometimes they feel more about performance than people. It’s easy to get caught up in the hype and forget the substance.

But if KAILO’s entry into the market proves anything that the future of wellness in Dubai won’t be defined by the loudest brands or the fanciest launches, but by the ones that make us feel connected, grounded and supported in real life.
