Arched hallway with wooden slats, marble floor, and a softly lit wall featuring leafy patterns. Calm, symmetrical ambiance.

Mornings at FIVE Palm Jumeirah always carry a certain calm energy, and stepping into ReFIVE Reformer Pilates feels like tapping into the hotel’s softer wellness focused side.

Located within the wider ReFIVE spa and wellbeing space, the reformer studio is designed to feel serene, design led and intentionally small, creating a boutique experience that feels far removed from a busy gym environment.

ReFIVE’s reformer classes are typically around 50 minutes and focus on controlled, slow burn strength work, posture and alignment, using resistance based reformer machines to target deeper muscle groups.

Classes run throughout the week alongside options such as private one to one or semi private sessions and curated wellness experiences that combine Pilates with spa or recovery access. The wider ReFIVE space also offers treatments, spa facilities and other movement based experiences, creating a full lifestyle approach to fitness and recovery rather than just a single workout class.

I attended the 8am Friday class with Fiona, which felt like the perfect reset before starting the day. She was incredibly warm and welcoming, explaining each movement in a way that felt clear and easy to follow, while also adjusting exercises for anyone managing injuries. The class size is intentionally small, which makes a huge difference. You get real time corrections, proper coaching and that boutique studio feel where you are guided the entire way through.

The workout itself was a strong full body session that felt challenging without being overwhelming. I especially loved the lower body and glute focus, the booty burn was very real, and finishing on arms gave the class a balanced sculpted feeling that leaves you standing a little taller afterwards.

Overall, ReFIVE feels less like a typical fitness studio and more like a lifestyle wellness experience. It is the kind of place you could build into a routine, whether you are coming in purely for reformer or pairing it with recovery and spa time. I would absolutely go back, especially for another class with Fiona.
