JOB TITLE: Founder of Ô Naturel Boutique
MOVED TO THE UAE IN: 2021
Claire is the founder of Ô Naturel Boutique, a Dubai-based clean beauty platform built on strict ingredient standards and full transparency, with one goal: making it easier for women and families to find truly clean, effective skincare and beauty products, without having to decode complex labels themselves.
Claire never planned to become an entrepreneur. Her journey started with a simple moment of curiosity nine years ago when she scanned her sunscreen with a beauty app. She'd always trusted big-name brands sold in pharmacies, so she wasn’t expecting any surprises. What she found changed the way she looked at cosmetics entirely. From the on she started researching, understanding formulations, gradually swapping out everything she'd been using, and questioning the gap between what products claim and what they actually contain. That process deepened during her first pregnancy, when she became even more deliberate about what was going onto her skin - and her daughter's.
That's when she started looking for better options here in Dubai and soon realised they simply didn't exist in the way she needed. So Claire ended up creating what she wish had existed when she first arrived. Claire started bringing skincare back from France and sharing recommendations with people around her. Eventually, the idea of a dedicated, curated space took shape, driven by the realisation that many women are asking the same questions and just want products that are safe, effective, and genuinely pleasurable to use.
Today Claire shares with us a day in her life and world:
5:30AM:
Technically my alarm is set for 6.30AM. But if you have small children, you'll know that they have their own agenda. Most mornings start somewhere between 5:30 and 6 — breakfast negotiations, missing shoes, the usual. I wouldn't change it, but I do miss mornings in bed.
8AM:
Once the kids are dropped at nursery, I need some time for myself. Some days that means Pilates, other days, coffee with a friend or someone I've been meaning to catch up with. I've learned that protecting this window matters — it's the difference between starting the day grounded or already stressed out.
10AM:
I open my laptop and work through the morning essentials: emails, a quick check that everything on the website is running as it should, and the Ô Naturel Circle — our WhatsApp community where members ask everything from "is this SPF safe for my kids?" to "what deodorant is safe to use?". I truly enjoy answering these questions, it’s exactly why I built this.
12NOON:
This is when I go deeper. Researching new brands, going through ingredient lists, vetting products against Ô Naturel's quality standards. It's the kind of work that requires focus and, honestly, I enjoy it more than I probably should. A brand partner once called me “an ingredient geek”. I took it as a compliment.
2PM:
School pick up. Hard stop.
4PM:
I’m back at my desk to focus on content for social media. I knew when I started Ô Naturel that I'd need to create it — that part didn't surprise me. What I didn't fully anticipate was quite how humbling it is to film yourself in your living room talking about skincare. But people keep telling me I look like a natural, and I think it's because I'm just sharing what I actually know and use.
6.30PM:
Dinner, bath, bedtime routine. My favorite moment is reading one (or two, or three) stories before bed. I’m less of a fan of the fighting over brushing teeth.
8PM:
This is when my husband and I can finally sit together and catch up over dinner.
9PM:
Some nights I go back to my desk. Some nights I go to bed.

The way you turned a personal frustration with ingredient labels into a full-blown clean beauty platform is exactly what the industry needed. I love that you didn't set out to be an entrepreneur, but just followed that initial curiosity. I've been digging into similar resources myself lately, so check out https://image-gpt.net

The way you built Ô Naturel around strict ingredient standards instead of just jumping on trends is exactly what the clean beauty space needs—especially for moms who don’t have time to decode labels. The way you built Ô Naturel around strict ingredient standards instead of just trends is exactly what the clean beauty space needs—especially for busy moms who don't have time to decode labels. The way you built Ô Naturel around strict ingredient standards instead of just marketing “clean” really resonates—decoding labels is exhausting, and it’s refreshing to see a founder who started from that exact frustration. I’ve been digging into similar resources for my own routine, so I’m curious what your go-to tool is for vetting new brands befo https://2d-to-3d.org
