Other Women's Jobs // A Day In The Life And Career Of Marion Tardy

NAME: Marion Tardy

AGE: 40

INSTAGRAM HANDLE: @marion.tardy

JOB TITLE: Artist House Troup at La Perle

MOVED TO THE UAE IN: 2020

Marion is an artist, aerialist, dancer, and also a mum—doing both roles with love. She began her journey as a dancer in France and later trained in aerial arts. Marion performed across France until Covid hit, which shifted everything. That’s when she made the decision to move to Dubai and pursue performing as a freelancer.

When Marion saw for the first time the show of La Perle, she felt drawn to a show like this and she took a chance and in November 2023, joined the cast. La Perle is a dream for any performer. It challenges her, inspires her, and allows her to fully express herself while being part of something magical. Marion describes it as a challenge every single day to be both a mum and an artist but she tries to do both with all her heart, balancing her passion for performing with the love and care her son deserves.

Let's discover a day in Marion's world:

8AM: Already awake to take my son to school.

10AM:  It depends on the day as an artist, my schedule is flexible. Sometimes I have breakfast with friends, take a paddle class, train on my own, or do some yoga.

12NOON:  I prepare everything for my son dinner and his evening routine since I won’t be home 5 nights a week.

2PM: If I don’t train early, I spend time with my son: helping with homework, playing, or taking him to the pool.

4PM:  I’m at work for training silks, diving, or choreography, depending on the day. During breaks, I love going to the café in front of the theatre to catch up with friends and laugh together.

6PM: I start warm-up and makeup for the show.

8PM: We’ve already finished the first show! Then we take a one-hour break to eat and rest

10PM: We’re in the second show, which finishes around 10:30 PM. After a shower, I head home to my family. With all the adrenaline, I unwind on the balcony before going to bed.
