Today Regan shares with us her biggest life learnings to-date:

#LIFELESSON – 1 –Don’t delay doing what you love.

My first life lesson is one that I knew in theory, but it took me ages to put it into practice. Starting QueenB is something I have wanted to do for as long as I can remember, and looking back, I wish I had done it sooner. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, even though I wasn’t 100% ready and I never would have been.  The truth is, you’ll never feel fully prepared to go out of your comfort zone. There will always be another reason to delay if you let fear hold you back. I reached the point where I wasn’t prepared to keep putting off doing something I am so passionate about, and I finally took the leap this year. I realised that action is where the real learning happens, and while the process isn’t easy, it’s essential to succeed.  Every step forward, whether smooth or messy, has taught me more than I could have imagined.  I still haven’t figured it all out, but I’m learning, adapting, and growing with each challenge. The key is to start.

#LIFELESSON – 2 – Successful businesses aren’t built alone. 

This has been fundamental to getting QueenB off the ground. People often talk about entrepreneurship being a lonely place, and, of course, you’re the one who shoulders the pressure, but having a strong support network should be part of your plan from day one. Before I started my business, I invested in a mentor to guide me, and it is my best investment to date.  She taught me that in order to start a business, you need the right people around you to bring it to life.  Building a business can be exciting, but also overwhelming, and having a solid network makes all the difference.  Whether it’s family, friends, or coaches, surrounding yourself with different experts and people who believe in your vision helps you stay motivated during challenges and grounded during successes. The right people will encourage you, offer honest feedback, and remind you why you started when things feel tough. Investing in myself by seeking guidance early on is one of the biggest reasons I am where I am today.

#LIFELESSON – 3 Not everyone will fall in love with your product. 

Creating a brand is deeply personal. But the reality is, it won’t be right for everyone, and that’s perfectly okay. At the beginning of creating QueenB I gave some pieces to my friends and family as gifts, thinking they’d love it. I soon learned that fashion is subjective, and not everyone shares the same style or taste. It was hard not to take that as criticism when I pour so much passion and creativity into what I love doing. Now I know what truly matters is that my target audience connects with my brand and feels confident wearing it. Accepting this has given me freedom to stay authentic and create for those who truly value it, rather than dilute my vision.
