Rupali is a South African who’s called Dubai home since 2013. She describes herself as a numbers nerd turned co-founder of Prana House, a Yoga Center based in Motor City, Dubai.

Rupali has worked in the financial services sector for 15 years and loves using her corporate experience to enhance what they do at Prana House. She found a passion for wellness which has led to her learning all about it, experiencing it and spreading the message of wellness.

Rupali is also a bit of a course and wellness junkie, leading her to gain certifications in reiki, CBT, NLP, and more. The positive transformation wellness has brought to her life is what drives her to help others experience the same. At Prana House, she has seen first-hand that wellness isn’t just a luxury—it’s an essential part of finding balance and achieving success, both personally and professionally.

Today Rupali shares her biggest life lessons with us:

#LifeLesson 1) Get to know yourself better - to be ‘you’

One of the most freeing things you can do is live with curiosity and choose self-discovery. Go ahead and try it, no matter what that looks like. In my case; working with a coach was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made as it has helped me understand myself on such a deep level and it’s liberated me by being able to let go of limiting beliefs and self-imposed constraints and expectations. By exploring who I truly am through coaching and meditation, I’ve learned to live more authentically, feeling lighter and with so much ease. I’ve found that the more I stay open, the more I learn about myself and the world around me. It’s about letting go of the pressure to be perfect and allowing yourself to evolve over time.  These shifts not only benefit you but also lead to better, more fulfilling relationships because you show up as your real self. 

#LifeLesson 2) Go after what you want, even if you’re scared  

Pursuing what you’re passionate about, even when you're scared or have doubts, is one of the most rewarding things you can do. I've done that many times, and I’ve never regretted it—regardless of whether the outcome was what I expected. You’re not scared of the journey, you’re scared of the unknown. The journey of going after what I want has brought a different level of fulfillment to my life. What I’ve found is that even if you do it and things don’t go perfectly, you grow and gain so much from the experience. There were moments where I doubted myself or questioned whether I was making the right decision, but looking back, those were the times I grew the most as a person. It’s a process of learning, adapting, and realizing that every step forward is progress, even if it feels uncertain in the moment.

#LifeLesson 3) Make time for you! 

Make sure you take time to do what fuels you. This could look like different things for different people. Self-care is the most selfless thing you could do. I love reading, creating art, taking walks, visiting the beach, and going on holidays—all of which help bring balance to my life. These breaks from the daily routine create ease and allow space for the best outcomes, both personally and professionally. I’ve found that taking time to switch off or do something I enjoy not only recharges my energy and regulates my nervous system but also improves the results of anything I’m working on and has a huge positive impact on my relationships. There are times when this could feel difficult but I continuously remind myself that sometimes taking time out is the most productive thing we can do and I’ve seen it make such a difference on everything around me.
