Today Dr. Taniyaa shares her biggest life learnings with us:
#LIFE LESSON – 1: Growth Begins Where Comfort Ends
One of the most defining lessons of my journey has been understanding that growth only begins when you step out of your comfort zone. I was in a stable leadership position in India, building Sunny Herbals in a market we deeply understood. Expanding into the UAE was a leap into the unknown. We were encouraged by real demand; through platforms like Amazon, we saw our products consistently going out of stock internationally. However, building that market physically was a completely different challenge. Moving to a new country and starting from the ground up was humbling. I went from leading teams to handling everything myself: visiting pharmacies, meeting doctors, understanding shelf dynamics, and managing media and operations. There were moments I questioned leaving comfort for uncertainty and a well paying life, but that discomfort became my biggest teacher. Every pitch and every mistake expanded my capacity. To grow, you must normalize discomfort.
#LIFE LESSON – 2: Patience is the BIGGEST Power
Building something in a new market teaches you a level of patience you didn’t know you needed. In the UAE, product registrations, approvals, and agency alignments required significant time. I invested in PR and infrastructure even before products were fully approved, a phase that demanded immense trust in the process. I realized that every market has its own rhythm, and forcing outcomes only creates frustration. Patience is not passive; it is active emotional control. It allowed me to stay focused and navigate the transition from having structured support in India to managing logistics and daily life independently. When you are building something meaningful, patience is essential.
#LIFE LESSON – 3: Resilience is Non-Negotiable
If there is one quality that defines long-term success, it is resilience. As a woman building in new environments, you will face rejection and self-doubt. I’ve had days where I asked basic questions or made decisions that didn’t work out. But resilience is about showing up anyway. It is about continuing to send that email, attend that meeting, and follow up even when it’s hard. Your feelings may fluctuate, but your goal should remain constant. Resilience separates those who stop from those who build. Success does not come from perfection; it comes from persistence.
