The Green Planet, Dubai’s most extensive and only indoor rainforest, opened its doors to families in 2016 in City Walk and is spread over 60,000 ft2, holding over 3,000 plants and animals. The plants and animals, including birds, reptiles, and fish, are kept in an artificial "bio-dome" tropical rainforest environment.
This mid-term break from the 12th to 18th of February 2024, The Green Planet has re-introduced its unique Junior Ranger experience for all children under 15. A bundle of captivating activities awaits the explorers, including the new Junior Ranger experience. The adventurous journey will take them through the rainforest, presenting ten unique trials, where explorers find clues on informative signs scattered throughout the biome. Each trail will promise intriguing and exciting insights into animals and nature, complemented by enlightened “Nature Talks” conducted by expert educators at the Green Planet. These are scheduled at 1:30 PM, 2:30 PM, and 4:30 PM at the outdoor Nature Park, promising to ignite curiosity and a delightful learning experience and understanding of the diverse bundle of 3000 plants and animals hosted there.
Each young explorer enrolling in the Junior Ranger program will have a passport containing ten captivating trails, a bio-degradable bag, and a pen with plantable seeds to fulfill this exciting mission. When the explorers have conquered all the challenges, the adventures are awarded The Green Planet™ Dubai Ambassador Pin as a token of their dedication and hard work.
From 12pm onwards, young guests can interact with The Green Planet Dubai's resident mascots, which aim to educate and promote awareness of ecological sustainability, aligning with UAE’s dedication to the 'Year of Sustainability' in 2024. The fun doesn’t end there; families can also immerse themselves in the biodome's tropical climate by participating in the Thunderstorm in the Rainforest experience. This truly brings the vibrant ecosystem to life and takes place at 12:00 PM*, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 5:00 PM. The
Junior Ranger experience is priced at AED 35 as an add-on to The Green Planet™ Dubai Day Pass (starting from AED 155).
For a unique behind-the-scenes journey, individuals aged eight and above can participate in an exclusive Zookeeper for a Day** program, priced at AED 410. This immersive experience allows young adventures to get hands-on experience in caring for and handling an extensive range of The Green Planet’s inhabitants. The Zookeeper for a Day experience is offered daily from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
