Formula 1 Meets LEGO / LEGOLAND Dubai Resort Launches Build The Thrill Experience

LEGOLAND® Dubai Resort invites families to rev up their engines for the ultimate adrenaline-fueled adventure at Build the Thrill.

This LEGO® Group and Formula 1® themed event running from 5th April to 31st May 2025 brings together two passionate global fanbases to high-octane excitement at the park and hotel, inviting young race-enthusiasts and their families to take on action-packed challenges, enjoy dance shows, showcase their creativity, and race their way to victory.

Taking place daily throughout April and on weekends in May, the event puts play in pole position with a dynamic mix of Grand Prix-inspired experiences, interactive building challenges, and themed entertainment, allowing families to immerse themselves in the exhilarating world of motorsport while enjoying LEGOLAND Dubai’s signature rides, attractions, and experiences. Young builders can design and build LEGO® race cars, compete in high-speed challenges, and races, all leading up to an epic celebration at the LEGOLAND Dubai’s Grand Podium. Beyond the track, hotel guests can join dance parties, creative workshops, and exclusive Grand Prix festivities at LEGOLAND Hotel.

From the moment families arrive at LEGOLAND Dubai, they’ll zoom into an action-packed atmosphere filled with fun challenges, friendly competition, and plenty of LEGO creativity bringing the excitement of the track to life. LEGO® City will transform into a Paddock Club, offering young racers the chance to put their skills to the test through interactive challenges and action-packed experiences. But the fun doesn’t stop there! Beyond the adrenaline-fueled action, families can also explore over 40 rides, shows, and attractions designed for kids aged 2-12, making LEGOLAND Dubai the ultimate destination for a full day of adventure.

// Driver’s Briefing, Pit Pass

Young racers will receive their official Pit Pass upon entering LEGOLAND Dubai and join either Team Red or Team Blue, by spinning the wheel at FACTORY, setting them up for a day filled with adventure. 

// Put Speed to the Ultimate Test

The Driver’s Academy at LEGO® City is a hub of action, where families can go full throttle and put their LEGO race cars to test! In a Pit Lane atmosphere filled with excitement, they can build LEGO race cars before sending them down the ramps and clock the fastest time or participate in times challenges to Beat the Clock. Playmakers will be on hand to offer expert tips on speed and handling, helping participants refine their builds for better performance. Families and groups of young friends can race against one another in friendly time trials, while special knockout-style tournaments will take place throughout the day, challenging participants to compete for the Build the Thrill Champion title. With spot prizes and exhilarating race moments, this adrenaline-fueled experience will have every guest feeling the thrill of the track!

// Pit Party

The Pit Party at LEGO® City brings an extra dose of energy to the trackside! Taking place three times a day, Team Red and Team Blue will go head-to-head in a thrilling showdown, where kids can join in the action or cheer on their team from the sidelines.

// Hall of Fame

Every Grand Prix winner deserves a place in history, and at the Hall of Fame at LEGO® City, young builders get the chance to showcase their ultimate LEGO race cars for all of LEGOLAND Dubai to see. Throughout the event, the most creative, innovative, and well-crafted builds will be displayed for all to admire, further inspiring builders to push their designs to the next level. Guests can proudly name their creations, and lucky participants may even receive surprise goodies for outstanding builds.

// MINILAND 

At MINILAND, racing meets creativity with a special Build the Thrill showcase, featuring exclusive LEGO car model displays and an action-packed scavenger hunt, adding to the off-track excitement.

// Victory celebrations

Children can embrace the true spirit of a champion as they can celebrate their victory at LEGOLAND Dubai’s FACTORY Stage. Families can capture an Insta-worthy moment with LEGO-themed trophies, racing helmets, and exciting props. This ultimate podium experience brings the Grand Prix adventure to a full circle, creating lasting memories in true LEGOLAND Dubai style!

// Spin the Drum

Every evening at 7:30PM, guests at LEGOLAND Dubai can take part in an exciting raffle for a chance to win a LEGO set worth AED 200. Visitors can collect their raffle tickets from the Pit Crew before they spin the drum and announce a daily winner that takes home this exciting prize.
