Passion F&B Group, the brainchild behind award-winning restaurant concept Trèsind and Michelin Star-approved, Tresind Studio, have opened doors to a new fine dining concept in the heart of Dubai, Aamara in VOCO Hotel Dubai. The restaurant takes one on a culinary journey through the Silk Route, the ancient trading route that stretched from the Far East to the Mediterranean.
The name Aamara has multiple meanings in different languages, including "forever beautiful" in Arabic, "immortal" in Sanskrit, "everlasting" in Latin, and "grace" in many parts of Africa. Along with a selection of in-house crafted beverages, the restaurant's exquisite menu features dishes inspired by the Silk Route, including cold plates, small plates, big plates, and sides that span meat, fish, and vegetarian options.
Chef Malik Basha, the executive chef at Aamara, said, "We have embarked on a journey to create a menu that transports historical discoveries from the Silk Routes and fascinations into a new and evolving modern dining experience." Some highlights of the menu include chaat sundae, bang bang cauliflower, ratatouille samosa, spinach and shrimp dumplings, Malabar shrimp curry, stuffed pimento, and palak corn burrata. The menu also features a range of desserts such as opera, baklava, Shahi Tukra, and saffron ice cream.
In addition to the regular menu, Aamara is also offering a limited period "lunch set menu" for AED 95++, which includes a five-course meal featuring hummus, Aamara finger salad, starters such as green chilli charcoal chops and king oyster kushiyaki, main courses such as palak corn and lamb nihari, and a dessert of dulce pannacotta.
Bhupender Nath, the founder and CEO of Passion F&B Group, said, "Passion F&B always strives hard to elevate the Indian cuisine experience. Taking inspiration from the oldest trading route, our team has curated a bespoke experience for an evolved culinary palette of Dubai residents."
Aamara is located on the second level of the VOCO Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road in the Trade Centre area. The restaurant is open from 12 noon to 11:30 pm, and the cost for two people is approximately AED 550. For more information, you can visit the Aamara website or Instagram page, or call 052 573 5723.
