SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, Yas Island’s latest mega-development has reached 90% completion. Miral, Abu Dhabi’s leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences is behind the latest development. SeaWorld is due to open in 2023 and will be the UAE’s first dedicated marine research, rescue and rehabilitation and return centre. SeaWorld will be located next to the marine-life theme park and while it is not due to open until 2023, the research and rescue center is due to open this year.
The Marine-life theme park will be built on five indoor levels and full of rides and immersive experiences. SeaWorld will have purpose-built habitats and ecosystems for the animals to ensure their home will replicate their natural habitat. It will support regional and global conservation efforts. The center will be led by world-class marine scientists, veterinarians, animal care professionals, rescue experts and educators. The rescue team will also be available to support the authorities 24/7.
SeaWorld will home more than 150 species of marine animals including sharks, schools of fish, manta rays, sea turtles, reptiles, amphibians and many more. All the animals will be cared for by an expert and experienced team of dedicated zoologists, veterinarians, nutritionists and animal specialists with a passion and commitment to the wellbeing and care of all animals.
