Halloween never used to be such a “thing”, but today it definitely feels like it is. And we have to mark it in some way. Without buying in to it too much or spending too much cash, there is something fun to be said for doing something and well it’s on the festive countdown after all.
So, here’s a few ideas for the big kids amongst us for making the most of Halloween 2022.
Spooky Netflix and Chill
Staying in is the new going out as you know and if you’ve been on Netflix this past week or so, you’ll see there are loads of spooky films and dramas that have been added, many especially for Netflix. Why not stay home and have the ultimate spooky sofa night in with friends of your other half. Make some popcorn, rustle up some drinks and get your jammies to embrace Netflix and chill. There is a credit crunch as we all know, so this is a big tick in the box for saving money too. This is top of our list this year.
The Papillion Horror Story Show
If you fancy a nod to Halloween, but a more classy affair, check out dinner and show venue Papillion as they are hosting an American Horror Story-themed show on Thursday October 27 and Friday October 28. Get glammed up and enjoy for AED 100 with soft drinks, AED 200 with house drinks and AED 300 with bubbly at The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort.
Book a brunch – there’s a lot to choose from
If you do fancy a spooky splash out, then why not book a fun brunch. Here’s a couple that caught our eye! Mama Zonia’s Halloween brunch which looks set to be fun and lively with 3 hours of unlimited drinks for AED 220 for the ladies and AED 270 for the gents on Monday 31st - Just remember it’s a school night and hangovers are so last year and well it is sober October after all! We also liked the look of Muchachas’ trick-or-treat brunch as the Mexican Cantina is always a fun affair. On Saturday 29th, guests are promised unlimited Mexican food and drinks, live music and exciting games to make this Halloween a truly memorable one from AED 169 (soft drinks) to AED 299 (house beverages).
Enjoy a Spooky Roast
The Roast by Bubbalicious at The Westin is our new favourite spot and quite possibly the best thing to launch this new season. So, get excited they have a Halloween edition! On Sunday 30th October between 1pm and 4pm adults can relax and indulge in a delicious roast with loads of activities to keep the littles busy too, including our other favourite Principal Lisa. Roast starts from AED 200 with soft drinks, AED 450 house drinks and to AED 595 for bubbles if you fancy an extra treat. Kids under 6 eat free.
Bongo’s Bingo Dubai Halloween Special
Tickets sell fast, but if there are any left, Saturday 29th sees Bongo’s Bingo, the party bingo event host a special spooky edition at Atlantis. It’s just AED 150 including drinks, games and karaoke and it’s loads of fun.
Spooky Singalong
Our favourite Karaoke spot Lucky Voice at Grand Millennium is hosting a Halloween brunch and singalong on Saturday 29th. Join one of two sessions, 1pm to 4pm and the other from 8pm to 11pm. Prices range AED 100 for soft drinks to AED 300 for sparking.
Whatever you choose to do, even if you order yourself some Pickl pick n mix, enjoy the spooky festivities.
